“Equipping our children and youth with backpacks and school supplies is about empowering them with the tools they need for a successful school year,” Aaron Murphy, Executive Director of GSM said in a news release.

GSM said the public can help support the ministry by hosting a school supplies drive at their business, church, etc.

The backpack giveaway is in conjunction with GSM’s Summer Food program.

Registration can be completed online or by calling 423-928-1958.
