The NBA offseason is in full swing with trades and signings happening seemingly every few minutes. With that being said, this is the perfect time to continue the series of the top 10 players at each position. These are the top 10 shooting guards currently in the NBA, starting with some honorable mentions who have an argument to be on the list.

    Honorable Mentions

    Bradley Beal, PHX

    Anfernee Simons, POR

    Jalen Green, HOU

    Donte DiVincenzo, NYK

    Cam Thomas, BKN

10: Austin Reaves, LAL, Age: 26

Austin Reaves has become a vital piece to the Los Angeles Lakers, he's grown into an efficient scorer and a good passer. He also has a knack for hitting the big shots at the end of games, which is a quality that goes beyond the stat sheet. Reaves is looking to have a breakout season next year and he's very capable of averaging upwards of 20 points per game along with 5 assists.

    Stats: 82 G, 15.9 Pts, 4.3 Reb, 5.5 Ast, 48.6% FG, 36.7% 3PT, 85.3% FT

    Playoffs: 5 G, 16.8 Pts, 3.8 Reb, 3.6 Ast, 47.6% FG, 26.9% 3PT, 89.5% FT

    Accolades: N/A

9: Tyler Herro, MIA, Age: 24

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=01281x_0uG9lU4a00

Tyler Herro is a great scorer and when he's hot he can absolutely take over a game. There are a few things that keep him from being higher on this list, the first thing is his injury history, and the second thing is his playoff struggles. If he can fix those things, he can be an extremely dangerous player. His name has been in trade talks recently so it will be interesting to see where these rumors go throughout the offseason.

    Stats: 42 G, 20.8 Pts, 5.3 Reb, 4.5 Ast, 44.1% FG, 39.6% 3PT, 85.6% FT

    Playoffs: 5 G, 16.8 Pts, 3.6 Reb, 5.4 Ast, 38.5% FG, 34.9% 3PT, 90.0% FT

Accolades: 1x Sixth Man of the Year

8: Zach LaVine, CHI, Age: 29

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=08XfwR_0uG9lU4a00

Zach LaVine suffered a season-ending injury after playing just 25 games, and he's looking to bounce back. LaVine has so much talent, and before this season, he had four straight seasons averaging over 24 points per game. He is a true three-level scorer and it seems like people are already forgetting how good he was just a couple of years ago, and he's fully capable of returning to that form.

    Stats: 25 G, 19.5 Pts, 5.2 Reb, 3.9 Ast, 45.2% FG, 34.9% 3PT, 85.4% FT

    Playoffs: N/A

    Accolades: 2x All-Star

7: Derrick White, BOS, Age: 30

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=11KMQl_0uG9lU4a00

There are not many players who impact the game in every aspect of basketball like Derrick White does. He is a great shooter and defender, a good passer, and hustles every second of the game. The Boston Celtics wouldn't be the powerhouse they are without White because he is the definition of someone who impacts the game beyond the stat sheet. He just got a multiple year extension, which is obviously well deserved.

    Stats: 73 G, 15.2 Pts, 4.2 Reb, 5.2 Ast, 46.1% FG, 39.6% 3PT, 90.1% FT

    Playoffs: 19 G, 16.7 Pts, 4.3 Reb, 4.1 Ast, 45.2% FG, 40.4% 3PT, 92.1% FT

    Accolades: 2x All-Defense, 1x NBA Champ

6: Dejounte Murray, NOP, Age: 27

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=17kFbL_0uG9lU4a00

The New Orleans Pelicans just traded for Dejounte Murray and he is going to help them in a big way. He's a good shot creator and playmaker while having a reputation as one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. It is likely that Murray will be the Pelicans primary point guard, but considering his shooting guard role over the last couple of years with Atlanta, he'll stay on this list until next season.

    Stats: 78 G, 22.5 Pts, 5.3 Reb, 6.4 Ast, 45.9% FG, 36.3% 3PT, 79.4% FT

    Playoffs: N/A

    Accolades: 1x All-Star, 1x All-Defense, 1x STL Leader

5: Desmond Bane, MEM, Age: 26

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1jPoSz_0uG9lU4a00

Desmond Bane was one of the many Grizzlies players who dealt with injuries this year but he will be back and healthy for next season where the Grizzlies will most likely be back in the playoff race. Bane is a perfect compliment to Ja Morant's slashing play style, he's an excellent mid-range and three-point shooter on high volume. Bane is also a capable defender and had two strong playoff showings in a row in 2021 and 2022.

    Stats: 42 G, 23.7 Pts, 4.4 Reb, 5.5 Ast, 46.4% FG, 38.1% 3PT, 87.0% FT

    Playoffs: N/A

    Accolades: N/A

4: Kyrie Irving, DAL, Age: 32

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2X7ZPM_0uG9lU4a00

Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks are coming off an NBA Finals loss, but Irving turned in a great season despite some inconsistencies especially during the playoffs. Irving's scoring ability and efficiency is still off the charts and he still has the ability to single-handedly take over a game when he's at his best which he did several times this season. Irving is in a great spot with Dallas especially now that they signed Klay Thompson so Luka Dončić and Irving have a reliable shooter.

    Stats: 58 G, 25.6 Pts, 5.0 Reb, 5.2 Ast, 49.7% FG, 41.1% 3PT, 90.5% FT

    Playoffs: 22 G, 22.1 Pts, 3.7 Reb, 5.1 Ast, 46.7% FG, 39.0% 3PT, 84.9% FT

    Accolades: 2011-12 ROTY, 8x All-Star, 3x All-NBA, 1x NBA Champ

3: Devin Booker, PHX, Age: 27

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=21M3k8_0uG9lU4a00

Devin Booker is one of the most consistent stars in the NBA, he is a master of the mid-range and a great three-point shooter. Booker has really expanded his game over the last few years, becoming a plus defender and a good passer in important situations such as the pick-and-roll. Booker is an excellent playoff performer and he usually shows up, but it's all about if the Suns front office can get the right team around him.

    Stats: 68 G, 27.1 Pts, 4.5 Reb, 6.9 Ast, 49.2% FG, 36.4% 3PT, 88.6% FT

    Playoffs: 4 G, 27.5 Pts, 3.3 Reb, 6.0 Ast, 49.2% FG, 35.0% 3PT, 95.1% FT

    Accolades: 4x All-Star, 2x All-NBA

2: Donovan Mitchell, CLE, Age: 27

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0PEitc_0uG9lU4a00

Donovan Mitchell has the Cleveland Cavaliers back in the playoffs and he just got rewarded with a multi-year extension. Mitchell was in the MVP race for a good portion of the season as he's one of the best scorers in the NBA and is an underrated playmaker with an ability to find open shooters. The Cavaliers have at least three more years with Mitchell so they need to make the right moves to set themselves up to win the Finals.

    Stats: 55 G, 26.6 Pts, 5.1 Reb, 6.1 Ast, 46.2% FG, 36.8% 3PT, 86.5% FT

    Playoffs: 10 G, 29.6 Pts, 5.4 Reb, 4.7 Ast, 47.6% FG, 35.4% 3PT, 81.5% FT

    Accolades: 5x All-Star, 1x All-NBA

1: Anthony Edwards, MIN, Age: 22

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1TKbWf_0uG9lU4a00

Anthony Edwards broke out in a big way this year and cemented himself as one of the top players in the entire NBA. Edwards at age 22 led the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals but lost to the Dallas Mavericks. Edwards is an all-world scorer, an underrated passer, and an elite defender. He improves his game every single year which is. a testament to his mentality and work ethic.

    Stats: 79 G, 25.9 Pts, 5.4 Reb, 5.1 Ast, 46.1% FG, 35.7% 3PT, 83.6% FT

    Playoffs: 16 G, 27.6 Pts, 7.0 Reb, 6.5 Ast, 48.1% FG, 40.0% 3PT, 81.4% FT

    Accolades: 2x All-Star, 1x All-NBA
