Vincent Hancock , a renowned US athlete, has made significant strides in the world of skeet shooting. Born on March 19, 1989, in Eatonton, Georgia, Hancock began competing at the tender age of 11. By 16, he had already won his first World Championship title in Men’s Skeet and was awarded the prestigious International Shooting Sport Federation’s Shooter of the Year award.

Hancock's achievements include three Olympic gold medals and five world championships. He made history as the first Olympic Skeet shooter to win gold medals in the same event in consecutive Olympic Games, specifically in Beijing 2008 and London 2012. He also became the first person ever to win four World Championship titles in Men’s Skeet, surpassing Abdullah Alrashidi of Kuwait and Jury Tsuranov of the Soviet Union.

Despite these accomplishments, Hancock remains focused on the future. He is set to compete in his fifth Olympics at the Paris 2024 Games and plans to qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Games, which he anticipates will be his final competition before retirement.

Beyond his personal ambitions, Hancock is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of shooters. He co-founded Northlake Shooting Sports in January 2023, a facility that hosts up to 500 high school shooters each week for practice or events. The facility also serves as a training ground for fellow 2024 Paris skeet qualifiers Austen Smith and Conner Prince .

Hancock's legacy extends beyond his medals. He is committed to promoting gun safety, teamwork, and self-confidence among young shooters. His impact on the sport and his dedication to mentoring the next generation of athletes is a testament to his enduring influence
