WEST MICHIGAN — Several notable court cases are still pending in Ottawa and Allegan counties. James “Jimmy” Richard Beauchamp, 55, of Kentwood, was arrested in December 2023 after a months-long investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. Beauchamp is a former employee of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish in Grand Haven. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old at a hotel in Grand Haven.
Hudsonville woman who ordered dog to bite man gets jail time, probation
HUDSONVILLE — A local woman received jail time and probation after pleading no contest to aggravated domestic assault for allegedly ordering her dog to bite a man in May. Augustina Villarreal, 37, of Hudsonville, was sentenced to 75 days in the Ottawa County Jail and will serve 12 months' probation. Villarreal was sentenced Tuesday, July 2, in 58th District Court before Judge Judith Mulder.
