According to a Coffee County Sheriff’s Office incident report, detectives met with a man on May 7 at the Coffee County Law Enforcement Center concerning a reported case of insurance fraud.

Toni Lee Sharpless, a 29-year-old nursing assistant, vanished on August 23, 2009, after a night out in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. Her disappearance remains a mystery. Born on December 27, 1979, in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Toni faced challenges early on, losing her father at six and later being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She also struggled with substance abuse but was dedicated to her role as a single mother to her daughter, born when Toni was seventeen. Toni worked as a nursing assistant while studying at Brandywine School of Nursing and graduated from Immaculata University in 2007. She was employed in the infectious disease ward at Lancaster General Hospital at the time of her disappearance.

Last Friday, two men were arrested on charges following a joint investigation into drug trafficking in Adel, culminating in a search at their home. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the search took place on Friday, June 28, at the residence of 28-year-old Shyiem Marquon Banks and 36-year-old Roderick Dion Collins. Investigators discovered a substantial quantity of drugs, including 210 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 3.2 pounds of suspected marijuana, 13 grams of suspected alpha-PVP (Flakka/bath salts), over 90 suspected oxycodone tablets, and 2 firearms.

A Maryland soon-to-be grandfather died after he was struck in the back of the head when he tried to apologize to his neighbors over his dogs running into their backyard, his heartbroken family claimed.
