Caitlin Clark entered the WNBA with a ton of pressure on her shoulders. Aside from the burden of being the 2024 No. 1 overall pick, the Indiana Fever rookie also has to deal with expectations that she's going to perform at a high level and dominate immediately like she did in college.

Luckily for Clark, she has a teammate in Aliyah Boston who's there to guide her through the ups and downs of her rookie season.

While the media hype and attention on Clark in the WNBA has never been seen before, Boston knows what it's like to be a No. 1 pick. The Fever made her the top overall selection in 2023, and she delivered by winning Rookie of the Year.

With that being said, Boston has made sure to give Clark some advice on how to navigate through the pressure she's going through.

"To just be her and to also give herself grace," Boston said when asked in a Q&A on X (formerly Twitter) about the advice she has given Clark.

It's a simple advice, but Aliyah Boston couldn't have said it any better. At the end of the day, Caitlin Clark simply needs to focus on herself and should not get too caught up with the expectations on her.

Clark couldn't force her game to evolve quickly. It's a process. Not to mention that she needs to go through a learning curve as she faces a new level of competition.

So far, it sure looks like that Clark has been following Boston's advice. While it has been an up-and-down season for her, Clark is also not letting the pressure get to her. She's averaging 16.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game as she stays in contention for the Rookie of the Year honor.
