Tom Brady Called 'Liar' Over Claim About Patrick Mahomes

Tom Brady said he felt a twinge of regret about his own career when watching how much fun Patrick Mahomes has on the field.
One of Brady's former teammates isn't so sure that's true.
Christian Fauria, Brady's former teammate with the New England Patriots and current radio host at WEEI in Boston, joked that Brady is not "wired" the same as Mahomes.
“I think Brady is a liar,” Fauria joked, via the New York Post . “When I heard it, I was like, ‘Who’s he kidding? He can’t change. He can’t downshift. This is not who he is. He’s not wired like Mahomes.'”
Fauria also countered the idea that Brady didn't have fun on the field.
“I’ve seen him have a great time; I’ve heard him laugh and joke around,” the former tight end said.
“But when it came to the game, you could see it during certain passes, or where he won a game or got a first down. He’s extremely happy, he’s celebrating like a little kid, but the reality is he is just wired so differently than Mahomes. Everything about him is different.”
Brady had mused about Mahomes' game during an appearance on "The Pivot" podcast, saying he believes quarterbacks today are having more fun on the field.
"When I see these young players, I see like Patrick out there at quarterback, running around, laughing, having fun, I'm like, 'I used to be like that. What the hell happened?' " Brady said, via The Daily Mail .
