Saturday, July 6: Great weekend weather, keeping humidity away

    By Matt Hefner,

I think Mother Nature is trying to apologize for the soggy ending on the 4th by bringing lovely weather for the 5th, 6th, and 7th. Thankfully, the hot and humid conditions will be staying away.

Temperatures today will be warmer than what we got yesterday, but still not too bad. Expect highs to climb to the mid-to-upper 80s with very low humidity. Sunny skies for Saturday with no concerns of rainfall.

Sunday will be similar to today, just a couple of degrees warmer as temperatures will approach the 90s. Nearly everyone will manage to stay dry, but I have to mention there will be a slight chance of a stray shower developing.

It’s on Monday more widespread rain will be available. A cold front will once again push through the Ozarks returning chances of thunderstorms. Right now, I am not expecting these storms to carry a major severe threat.

There’s a chance we can see even more rain during the middle of the workweek depending on the path that Hurricane Beryl takes. Right now models are in consensus the storm will impact Southern Texas before traversing North.

Parts of Missouri and Arkansas are currently under the gun for wet weather being slung our way due to this system. Now let me be clear, we have absolutely no chance of a hurricane-level threat impacting us. Rather the remnants of Beryl could be overhead.

Generally great weather will last all week as temperatures will manage to stay at or below average. Enjoy the cooldown while we have it as heat will undoubtedly be marching back in this summer.
