Can Aaron Rodgers do what no New York Jets' Quarterback has ever done?

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has already done it four times in his career. If the 40-year-old quarterback can do it again, he'll be the first New York Jets ' player ever to achieve the feat.

The Jets, who were established in 1960, have never produced the NFL MVP winner. It's a drought that can realistically reach an end this year should Rodgers stay healthy and perform up to his capabilities.

In all, there are seven NFL clubs who have never celebrated an MVP award and NFL Media digital editor Grant Gordon identified each team's most likely player to make history in 2024. Naturally, Rodgers was the pick for the Jets.

From Will one of these seven NFL franchises finally celebrate first MVP in 2024? :

"In his illustrious career, Rodgers has four AP NFL MVPs on his first-ballot Hall of Fame resume, which is second all time. Rodgers won back-to-back MVPs in 2020-2021 during his days as the leader of the Pack. Traded to the Jets ahead of last season, aspirations were at a high in Gotham until Rodgers' season and New York's grand hopes were cut down by a torn Achilles after a quartet of snaps. Rodgers is back and so too is the promise. If Rodgers leads the Jets to postseason bliss, a fifth MVP for the QB and a first for the franchise could be a reality."

Even in the absence of gaudy numbers or league-leading statistical production, Rodgers can create a legitimate case for MVP by simply improving what has been a dismal Jets' offense, especially if it leads to the franchise's first playoff berth since 2010.

New York, which ranked 31st in yards per pass play (4.86) last year, has not enjoyed a winning record since 2015. Only once has a Jets' quarterback reached the 4,000-yard passing mark or thrown 30 touchdown passes in a single season. Rodgers accomplished both feats on multiple occasions in Green Bay.
