Citrus County, FL — A severe crash involving a modified Harley Davidson motorcycle occurred this morning on Forest Ridge Boulevard, leaving a 57-year-old woman from Beverly Hills with serious injuries. The incident took place at approximately 9:11 AM on July 6, 2024.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Road King Harley Davidson motorcycle, which had been modified to include two rear tires, was traveling southbound on North Forest Ridge Boulevard. Just south of West Pentstemon Court, the motorcycle's left rear tire malfunctioned and deflated, causing the rider to lose control.

The motorcycle veered into the median and collided with a tree, resulting in significant damage. The rider, a 57-year-old woman from Beverly Hills, Florida, sustained serious injuries in the crash. Emergency services responded promptly, and she was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the tire malfunction and subsequent crash. The identity of the rider has not been released as the investigation continues.

Our thoughts are with the injured rider and her family during this difficult time.
