Caitlin Clark's Stunning First-Quarter Stat Line Made Headlines

Caitlin Clark got off to a red-hot start in Saturday afternoon's matchup against the New York Liberty.

The Indiana Fever's No. 1 overall pick got things going early, recording 11 first-quarter points — including three made three pointers. She also chipped in with three assists, three rebounds and two steals.

Clark shot 4/5 from the field and 3/4 from behind the three-point arc.

The Fever finished the first quarter with a 24-18 lead over the WNBA's top team.

The Fever will need Clark to continue producing at this level if they want to notch their first victory of the season over reigning league MVP Breanna Stewart and the Liberty. New York won the first three games of the season series.

If Clark continues at this pace, she'll be the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double.
