Caitlin Clark now stands alone as the rookie with the most point-assist double-doubles in WNBA history — surpassing all-time great basketball superstar Sue Bird.

Bird finished her 2002 rookie season with three point-assist double-doubles. Clark notched the fourth in her last five games against the New York Liberty on Saturday afternoon.

Clark notched her 10th assist midway through the third quarter to go along with her 13 points.

Clark set her career high in assists with 13 during a loss to the Chicago Sky earlier this season. Since then, the No. 1 overall pick has been dropping double-digit dimes at a historic pace.

Clark is averaging 16.0 points and 7.1 assists per game so far this season. Bird finished her rookie season averaging 14.4 points and 6.0 assists per game.

If Clark continues at this pace, she should finish her rookie campaign with a healthy lead over Bird in this incredible double-double category.
