Caitlin Clark Reveals Why She Demanded Fever Crowd Get Quiet After Making WNBA History

Caitlin Clark made WNBA history on Saturday when she became the rookie to produce a triple-double.

The rookie sensation finished the game with 19 points, 13 assists, and 12 rebounds. Yet, the Fever were in midst of their fourth quarter comeback when she actually secured the triple-double,.

And Clark's record likely would have meant nothing to her if it didn't also come with a win.

Which is why Clark quieted her home crowd down when they were celebrating her success while Clark's teammate Aliyah Boston was shooting a free throw.

An X video by @cc22report shows Clark trying to quiet the Fever fans down moments after making history.

After the game ended, Clark told reporters why she clamored for the crowd to quiet down in that crucial moment.

“Well, I was trying to get the crowd to be quiet because I think Aliyah was shooting a free throw," Clark said, per Matthew Byrne . "Like I appreciate it, but just trying to get them to be quiet.”

Clearly what Clark did worked out, because her team defeated the Liberty for the first time in this WNBA season and have now put themselves in striking range for a playoffs push.
