The historically woeful Browns took a chance on Manziel in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, despite obvious concerns about his profile. Needless to say, the pairing did not work out. Manziel was prone to mistakes — both on and off the field. His erratic style of play did not translate at all in the NFL, as teams were able to easily stifle Manziel as both a runner and passer. Manziel made eight starts and was out of the league in just two seasons.
