The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin final work on eastbound I-70 at the Md. 65 interchange beginning Monday, July 8.

The work will continue through the end of July, weather permitting.

Drivers can expect occasional altering single-lane closures on I-70 at night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays. Drivers should plan extra nighttime driving time.

This is the final work needed for the recent bridge replacement at I-70 eastbound Md. 65.

The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Concrete General Inc. of Gaithersburg, Md., will use signs, cones, drums and temporary traffic signs to guide motorists through the work zone. Drivers need to look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
