Little River hosts annual 'Red, White and Blue' outing

MARINETTE — Over 200 golfers descended upon Little River Country Club for the annual Red, White and Blue tournament on Thursday.

Each flight was contested between teams of four, with the winning outfit receiving a $100 cash prize. Second place winnings totaled $75, while third place teams took home $50 and fourth place units netted $25.

The championship flight was decided by a single stroke, as Trey Kretz, Grant Bauman, Adam Bauman and Jeff Bauman edged Ty Kretz, Kevin Charlesworth, Connor Nelson and Terry Woods 51-52.

Matt Kowalski, Bryan Dombrowski, Andy Oczus and Eric Eisenzoph captured first place in the first flight by three strokes, shooting a combined 54 to fend off Ryan Demarce, Dannon DeDamos, Tom Collins and Todd Stehle, who settled for runner-up honors at 57.

Jeff Busick, Brian Busick, Roger Raygo and Alex Raygo emerged victorious in the second flight after turning in a scorecard of 54.

Danny Sullivan, Tyler Cahill, Anton Brix and Tim Chamberlain cruised to the win in the third flight, topping the field by 10 strokes at 51.

Steve Cheney, Megan Cheney, Kyle Cheney and Brian Mylener finished atop the fourth flight with a combined score of 59, putting them one stroke ahead of Bryan Polzin, Brett Polzin, Rick Polzin and Andy Walters (60).

Brian Wiltzius, David Wiltzius, Jamie Wiltzius and Jon Mans (60)won the fifth flight, while Kyle Desotell, Riley Hegg, Brenne Gabriel and Katie Loomis (59) walked away with the win in the sixth flight.
