    Florence M. Smith, 77, of Manchester, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at Meadowview Regional Hospital in Maysville, Kentucky. She was born April 16, 1947 in Manchester, daughter of the late John and Lovenia Blythe Shelton. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Donald Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Shelton; one sister, Carol Henderson; one niece, Lisha Henderson and two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Abigail Hackney.

    Florence was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church and a Saint of God for 28 years. Florence enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, sewing, word searches and spending time with her family. She worked at Hercules Trouser Company (Pants Factory), Copeland, Technotrim and most recently Best Choice Home Care.

    In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Terry Robertson; daughter, Heather (Chris) Hackney; four grandchildren, Julia Harvey, Cara Robertson, Sierra Hackney and Canaan Hackney; one great-grandchild, DJ; and her siblings, Pat Bryant, Darlene Myers and Sharlene (Kelvin) Baldwin.

    Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the TurningPoint Church, 818 E. Maple Leaf Rd., Maysville, Kentucky. Pastor Brian Young will officiate. Burial will follow at the Manchester Cemetery.

    Arrangements are entrusted to the Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
