Jadon Sancho set to return to Man Utd this week with future up in air – and even staff don’t know what’s going on

JADON SANCHO is set to return to Manchester United this week with his Old Trafford future still up in the air.
Staff at United ’s Carrington base are in the dark as to whether the winger will resume with the main body of players who are due back for pre-season training.
They are usually given a breakdown – especially in the opening week – detailing things like return dates, who will be out on the pitch and when, and testing schedules.
Yet there is no indication as to what Sancho ’s movements will be, or any sign the United striker and Erik ten Hag have made their peace after last season’s bust-up.
Sancho refused to apologise – sources insist he didn’t want it to be seen as an admission of guilt – and spent the second half of the season on loan to Borussia Dortmund .
Although his former club would have liked to make that a permanent deal, they were priced out of re-signing a man who cost £73 million three years ago.
United would be happy to get his £300,000-a-week wages off the books, but there has been no serious interest.
Manager Ten Hag has hinted the door is open to rekindling his Old Trafford career, yet with still no sign of an olive branch, Sancho’s future remains in limbo.
Relations got so frosty before his short-term return to Dortmund in January that at one stage he was even spotted eating his lunch in the training ground car park.
