HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office has released the names of two people who were killed in an SUV crash on Fulton Avenue last week.

Officers responded to an accident involving an SUV and two pedestrians at the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Florida Street on July 4. Police said they believe the driver was obeying traffic laws and was not distracted.

On Monday, the coroner’s office identified the two people killed as 76-year-old Regina Hinkel and 61-year-old Mark Alan Jeffers. Both Hinkel and Jeffers were pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force trauma.
