Radio personality Falen Bonsett joins FOX 9's 'The Jason Show'

Twin Cities radio personality Falen Bonsett officially joined The Jason Show on Monday, becoming the newest "sidekick" to Jason Matheson on the popular FOX 9 talk show.

Bonsett replaces Kendall Mark , who departed the station after five-and-a-half years last month for a new gig at myTalk 107.1.

Mark's new radio show, which takes over the afternoon drive spot formerly held by "Lori & Julia", also launches Monday .

Bonsett's new role as co-host of The Jason Show was announced during Monday's broadcast.

"It was a very decision when you reached out to me so I'm very excited to be here," Bonsett said during the show.

Bonsett grew up in southern Indiana, where she got her start in local radio before several moves across the country landed her in the Twin Cities.

Bonsett is perhaps best known in the Twin Cities for her work on KDWB's The Dave Ryan Show, co-hosting during the morning commute for over a decade before her departure last year .

Bonsett now co-hosts the Falen & Colt afternoon drive show at KDWB, and will continue in that role.

While welcoming Bonsett to The Jason Show on Monday, Matheson commended her ability to connect with audiences.

"I've been here for 25 years," he said. "I've never seen a talent come through the market that was immensely popular as fast as you."

Bonsett first appeared on The Jason Show last year when she filled in for Kendall Mark during Mark's maternity leave.

The entertainment talk show airs daily at 10 a.m.
