    Study: Louisiana ranks in top 10 work from home states

    BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A new study revealed that Louisiana is among the top 10 best states in the United States to work from home.

    Desky , an ergonomic furniture brand, looked at data on internet speeds, electricity costs per kilowatt-hour and remote job openings in each state to find out which states are best for working from home, according to a news release.

    “Working from home has become a widespread thing not only in the U.S. but across the globe; even the ‘norm’ for certain companies,” said Justin Marshall, founder of Desky. “In most cases, it is cheaper than being in the office through the lack of commuting.

    Louisiana was ranked as the ninth-best U.S. state to work from home. According to the study, the state has an average internet speed of 324.9 megabytes per second, electricity costs at 9.37 cents per kilowatt-hour and 11 remote job openings per 10,000 residents.
