Noel Gallagher is pissed off at Dave Grohl , and it’s not because he took an apparent swipe at Taylor Swift , but rather because Grohl… really likes Oasis?

The Oasis star has long feuded with the Foo Fighter, and though they ran into each other at this year’s Glastonbury, Gallagher didn’t quite seem ready to bury the hatchet.

“I did actually bump into Dave [Grohl]. He was about three feet away from me when I was watching LCD Soundsystem, and he was staying in the same hotel I was staying in,” he said on Matt Morgan’s podcast (as reported by NME ). “I would just like him to wind his fucking neck in about Oasis. I wouldn’t talk to him. I haven’t got time for that fucking mob any more.”

The source of Gallagher’s unfriendliness seems to originate from Grohl repeatedly mentioning that he wishes Oasis would get back together. In a 2014 XFM interview , Grohl called Oasis “the greatest rock band [he’s] ever seen in his life” and expressed that it’s a “shame” that they refuse to reunite.

Grohl and his fellow Foo Fighters would go on to repeat the sentiment. During their 2019 headlining performance at Reading Festival, the late Taylor Hawkins proclaimed , “One of these days we’ll get Oasis back,” while playing a drum kit adorned with a photo of the Gallagher brothers. “We’re trying,” Grohl added, before Hawkins suggested they start a petition.

In response, Gallagher took time out of one of his performances to say that he too would like to start a petition — a petition to breakup Foo Fighters. “If the fucking drummer from Nirvana wants to get Oasis back together, he can come up on-stage and suck my fucking dick anytime he likes,” he added at another show.

In addition to the public calls for an Oasis comeback tour, the Foos began to align themselves with Liam Gallagher, no doubt to the further dismay of Noel. Grohl guested on the Liam Gallagher track “Everything’s Electric,” and Hawkins firmly planted his flag in Liam’s camp in a 2019 XFM interview .

“Liam’s having a lot of success. I mean, he’s doing two nights at The O2 Arena. Do you think that Potato Gallagher and the Low Charting Turds could do two nights at The O2 Arena?” Hawkins said. “I’m hoping now that [Noel] will lighten up a little bit and come to his senses and get the good singer back for his band.”

In light of Noel Gallagher’s recent comments, it seems like the bad blood has yet to subside, and the British artist has decided he has nothing nice to say to Grohl, so he’d rather say nothing at all (except on podcasts of course). “I haven’t got fuck all to say to him. He’s our kid’s mate anyway.”

Also speaking to his experience at Glastonbury, Gallagher expressed that he feels the festival has “gone woke” with “little fucking idiots waving flags around and making political statements.” Read more about that big-brained take here.

Last year, Gallagher released the latest album under his Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds project, Council Skies . He also has a handful of European festival dates on the horizon. Grab your seats here .

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters have upcoming US dates with The Hives, Amyl and the Sniffers, Alex G, and L7. Get tickets here .
