Former LIV Golf star's categorical seven-word claim about PGA Tour future speaks volumes

Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal has stated that he will "never" accept a full-time role on the PGA Tour . A consistent player on the European Tour for the past 15 years, Larrazabal has grabbed nine championship titles in his home competition.

Despite being ranked 150th globally at present, the 41-year-old Barcelona native managed to bag both the Korea Championship and KLM Open crowns last year.

While Larrazabal's name is common during golf's major events, his success rate has been less than ideal, having missed cuts in 15 out of his 20 attempts in the sport's four significant tournaments. He secured the 65th position at the PGA Championship in 2023 but was unsuccessful in making it to the weekend's games at both the US Open and The Open in Liverpool.

Larrazabal continues to be a competitive force on the European Tour, consequently providing him with the choice to play on the PGA equivalent. Nevertheless, he insists that such an opportunity does not align with his future plans.

In response to one fan's expression of hope to watch more of him playing on the American circuit, Larrazabal made his feelings be known via X : "Thank you Felix but I will never play PGA full schedule," reports the Mirror .

The European Tour's top ten players on the Race to Dubai rankings automatically qualify to play on the PGA Tour. Yet, it appears that even if this were a possibility, new father Larrazabal would not entertain the commitment.

The Spaniard is currently 50th in the Race to Dubai rankings, but there's still a chance for him to break into the top-10. He's gearing up for the Genesis Scottish Open, where European Tour pros will face off with their PGA Tour counterparts before The Open.

Larrazabal expressed his excitement about the upcoming event at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, saying he "can't wait" for the Scottish Open to kick off on Thursday. He did acknowledge, though, that he's working on smoothing out some aspects of his game before the tournament.
