Nyjah Huston , a renowned figure in the world of skateboarding , has been making waves since he won his first major street skateboarding competition at the tender age of 10 in 2005. Born on November 30, 1994, in Davis, California, Huston was introduced to skateboarding by his father, a former skater himself, at the age of five. By seven, he had already signed his first sponsorship deal, and at 10, he won the Tampa Am competition.

Huston's childhood was marked by a strict Rastafarian lifestyle and a focus on solitary pursuits, particularly skateboarding. His father built a family-run indoor skatepark in their backyard, which served as the perfect training facility for Huston and his siblings.

In 2012, Huston became the highest-paid skateboarder globally and had won more prize money than any other skateboarder in history by 2013. He is a 13-time X Games champion, with 10 wins in street and three more wins in real street and best trick.

Despite his impressive track record, Huston's first Olympic appearance at Tokyo 2020 was a disappointment, where he finished in seventh place. However, after a successful 2023 season and a recovery from a torn ACL, the six-time world champion is now set to return to the Olympic stage at Paris 2024, aiming to improve upon his previous performance.

Off the skatepark, Huston, along with his mother, founded a water charity called Let It Flow in 2011. The charity repairs broken water wells and distributes water filtration systems in third-world countries, inspired by their experience of living with a subpar water system on their farm in Puerto Rico.
