Allentown Summer Playground Program participants and other neighborhood children play in water sprayed by Allentown firefighters Mike Bryant and Lt. Jeremy Warmkessel on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Roosevelt Park in Allentown. With the region under a heat advisory until Thursday and then an excessive heat watch until Sunday, the fire department is operating cooling stations this week at various parks.
