    Family safe after early morning house fire

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- An early morning house fire forces a family out of their home.

    The fire took place just before 1:00 a.m. in the 7500 block of Eichele Drive in Vanderburgh County. Our crew on the scene says that smoke was pouting from the home when they arrived and had filled the surrounding area.

    A neighbor who was also evacuated from their next door home says the fire may have been started by a candle. It took firefighters more than 30 minutes to get the fire under control, but no injuries have been reported. The fire is believed to have started in the basement of the home and the exact cause is now under ivestigation.
