Barron County open house for Bike and Pedestrian Plan

Barron County is hosting a public open house to engage residents and the general public in reviewing the county's proposed Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.

This event aims to gather valuable community feedback on the draft network plan, which outlines bicycle and pedestrian routes throughout Barron County, as well as the goals and objectives set forth by the county.

The open house will take place Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Barron County Highway Facilities meeting room, located at 260 N. Seventh St., Barron.

Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the project planner, review detailed maps of proposed routes and provide input that may be incorporated into the final Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.

This is a great opportunity for those interested in promoting alternative transportation options to voice their support for these efforts. Public feedback is crucial as the county works toward creating a safe and accessible network for cyclists and pedestrians.

Information is also available on the project website barron-county-bike-and-pedestrian-plan-wcwrpc.hub.arcgis.com.

Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with questions, suggestions and ideas to help shape the future of biking and walking infrastructure in Barron County.
