Man stabbed to death in Walmart parking lot

A woman has been charged with murder after police say she stabbed her boyfriend in the neck outside Walmart.

Rashonda Ramos Worthen, 39, is charged with an open count of felony murder in the death of Arnold George Sinclair Jr., 59.

“The victim and suspect were in a dating relationship and had been traveling from Florida before the incident occurred,” said Sgt. Eric McInerny, public information officer with the Wilson Police Department.

Police didn’t have address information for Worthen or Sinclair but said neither the suspect nor victim is from Wilson.

Officers responded to Walmart Supercenter, 2500 Forest Hills Road, at 10:37 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a person being stabbed, according to a release from McInerny.

“Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Sinclair, in the parking lot suffering from a stab wound to the neck,” McInerny said. “The female suspect, Worthen, called 911 stating that she stabbed the male.”

Police and Wilson County EMS personnel attempted lifesaving measures, McInerny said. However, Sinclair was pronounced dead at the scene.

Worthen was taken into custody and placed in the Wilson County Detention Center without bond.
