4 hurt after crash in Greene County

Four people are hurt after a crash involving a dump truck in Greene County Tuesday evening, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatcher.

Around 4:30 p.m., OSHP troopers, Greene County Sheriff’s deputies, and medics responded to reports of a crash at State Route 72 and Federal Road.

An OSHP sergeant on scene said a black sedan made an improper pass and crashed into an oncoming dump truck.

At the time of the crash, the truck was carrying asphalt.

The driver of the sedan was flown to the hospital in critical condition, the sergeant said. Their three passengers were transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

The driver’s identity was not immediately available.

The sergeant said the dump truck driver was not injured in this crash.

Crews are working to reopen SR-72 from Turnbull Road to Federal Road.
