2 flown after 3-vehicle collision involving DOH tractor

UPDATE, JULY 10, 11:19 A.M.:
QUIET DELL, W.Va. (WBOY) — One of the two people who were flown to the hospital after a collision involving a mower and a pickup truck on Interstate 79 was a West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) worker, a press release confirmed.
The release from the WVDOH said that the pickup truck was traveling north when it collided with the WVDOH mower near the Stonewood and Nutter Fort exit. The mower operator and the truck driver were taken to the hospital by HealthNet with “serious injuries,” the release said.
The WV511 shows that one northbound lane in that area is still closed.

QUIET DELL, W.Va. (WBOY) — Two patients were transported via HealthNet after a collision involving a car, pickup truck and West Virginia Division of Highways tractor on Interstate 79 Wednesday morning.
12 News has a reporter at the scene reporting that the northbound side was about to reopen to one lane.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said details are still limited at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.

QUIET DELL, W.Va. (WBOY) — Three people are injured after a West Virginia Division of Highways tractor and a pickup truck collided on Interstate 79 northbound in Quiet Dell Wednesday morning.
The Harrison County 911 log shows the accident was called in just before 8 a.m.
First responders confirmed that one person was entrapped in one truck. Two patients needed responders certified in Advanced Life Support measures, the 911 center log shows.
HealthNet was alerted two times for patients and will be landing on the interstate for transport, according to the log.
As of 8:20 a.m., the northbound lanes of I-79 were shut down at the 115 to 116-mile markers.
West Virginia State Police, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Anmoore EMS, the Nutter Fort Fire Department and the Stonewood Fire Department responded, the log shows.
