ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) —More than one person was seriously injured in a car crash in the Town of Huron on Saturday.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent to the intersection of Ridge Road and North Huron Road for the crash.

Deputies said one vehicle was heading east on Ridge Road and tried to turn north onto North Huron Road and crashed into a car driven by a man from Marion. The driver and passengers in the striking car were uninjured, but the driver and passengers in the other car were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.

A couple of the victims were taken to the hospital via helicopter due to serious injuries. It’s not known how many of them and who were seriously injured.

The driver of the striking vehicle was given a ticket for failure to yield the right of way in an intersection. The driver is due to appear in the Town of Huron Court.
