"So fed up dealing with “customer service” over my refund," A shopper named Paula Morcan wrote on Facebook.

Morcan revealed that her issues began when she purchased an $800 dining set from the retailer that came in the mail damaged, according to her Facebook post.

At first, she contacted Walmart and claimed a representative told her that she would get her money back within a week of receiving her items.

However, once the item arrived, she heard nothing and was forced to call them back.

A representative allegedly told her that the dining set went to a different warehouse and they just needed a couple of days to sort out the refund.

Morcan claimed she did what she was told, but still didn't receive her refund.

After calling back a third time, She was told that her refund was processing, and she needed to wait a few more days for it to reflect on her card.

But after weeks of waiting again, Morcan was finally fed up.

"Fast forward to today and 6 phone calls and being told every time that things are being escalated and give us a couple more days," she said.

"Holy hell how many more days are you going to keep my money !!! Can never get put through to a supervisor. Does anyone have any advice ?"

Another shopper chimed in and explained they had a similar experience as Morcan.

However, she rectified the situation by returning to the store's brick-and-mortar locations instead of dealing with online representatives.

"Go to your local Walmart and try to sort it out there. I was double charged for an order totaling out at almost 700$ I took it into my local Walmart and the manager was able to help me and give me a refund," the other shopper wrote.

"Took waiting extra days but the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Be a pain in the ass, they will get it done faster."

    Walmart return policy

According to Walmart's website, in order to return items customers must:

    1. Select the items you’d like to return & a reason for the return.
    2. Choose “Return to store” to get a return barcode (eligible items will allow you to select “Curbside Return”).
    3. Review the return refund summary & submit your return.
    4. Check your email for confirmation. Bring this confirmation email with you to the store along with your item.

    NO TAKEBACKS

Morcan is not the only shopper upset about the retailer's return policy.

Many have complained about how Walmart is now making shoppers begin in-store purchase returns online.

Customers have to go onto the Walmart website and fill out a form to get the barcode they need to return their items in-store.

In addition to the barcode, shoppers must bring their email confirmation code to the cashier.

The return process has become so complicated for some shoppers, that they began to warn others on social media.

“Watch out for Walmart’s new return policy,” one shopper posted on Facebook.

“Now you have to go online to fill out return paperwork. It must be correct, or they will not accept it.”

“If you have changed your debit card they will only offer an E-Card which you can only spend in the store. But, if they have already processed the refund on the old card you get nothing.”

“Just another one of Walmart’s many new improvements,” the post ended.
