The dude was born on third base but his dad keeps making the argument that ‘OH, MY GOD, HE’S JUST EARNED EVERYTHING! WHAT INCREDIBLE ODDS BRONNY HAS OVERCOME!’...
LeBron James on Bronny not caring about ‘criticism': ‘I don’t know if people really understand Bronny. He doesn’t care. I actually cared a little bit when I came in. I wanted people to like me, and some of the things people would say about me would bother me early on in my career. Bronny doesn't give a sh*t. He plays, he works his tail off, and when he’s done he goes home and plays his video games. He doesn’t care about nobody’s [opinion], he doesn’t even listen to that stuff. He’s the complete opposite of his dad. When I was coming up, I literally had no choice. I had to make it out. I had to make it out for me, my mom, my family... He has all the choices in the world. People don’t understand how hard that is. Just imagine if you were a kid, you were born into a situation where your dad was super famous, super wealthy, and you the kid still had the drive to want to be able to accomplish things for yourself. I personally don’t know if I would have been able to do that if the roles were reversed.”

I can’t figure out if LeBron is trying to say how 'difficult' it was for him and that he had no choice but to take advantage of all this athleticism. Do you know what failure looks like for LeBron James? If you’re born with that much athletic talent in this country – if LeBron had failed he would be Michael Beasley. He would have made $50 million playing basketball in the NBA if he had ‘failed.’ Because he’s successful, he’s made $500-$600 million just from playing basketball and he’s a billionaire. But then to turn it around like ‘OH, MY GOD, YOU JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND! BRONNY HAS THE DRIVE! HE COULD DO ANYTHING HE WANTS! HE COULD BE A GAMER, HE COULD BE A CHEF, BUT NO – BECAUSE OF HIS INCREDIBLE DRIVE, HE WANTS TO PLAY BASKETBALL!... MOST BLACK KIDS DON’T WANNA PLAY BASKETBALL! DO YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF DRIVE IT TAKES TO GET A BLACK KID TO WANNA PLAY BASKETBALL IN AMERICA?? YOU GOTTA BASICALLY BREAK OUT WHIPS AND CHAINS, AND STICK GUNS TO THEIR HEADS! Fame, money, and idolatry creates the kind of delusion that LeBron is in. His kid was born on third base. His kid was the third or fourth-best player on his high school basketball team. His kid was the sixth, seventh, or eighth-best player on the USC basketball team. His kid was maybe the 120th best basketball prospect in this year’s Draft. Yet somehow he went 55th and got a guaranteed contract for nearly $8 million. 'AND THAT’S BECAUSE OF HIS DRIVE! INCREDIBLE, THIS KID COULD JUST LAY UP ON HIS REAR END AND PLAY VIDEO GAMES EVERY DAY, BUT NO, HE WANTS TO BE A BASKETBALL PLAYER! HE’S TAKING THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED! I MEAN, I DON’T REALLY KNOW ANY KIDS WHO WANT TO BE IN THE NBA AND WOULD LIKE TO PLAY BASKETBALL EVERYDAY! YOU RARELY MEET KIDS THAT JUST WANNA PLAY GAMES FOR A LIVING! This is some helicopter dad that is forcing his kid into the NBA. I don’t want to overreact to one game but this dude is barely 6’1”. Anybody that watched any parts of that Summer League game – this isn’t a great prospect. He looked out of place. He got his ankles broken twice. This isn’t LaVar Ball’s kid. Is LiAngelo the Ball kid who didn’t make it to the NBA? He would make short work of Bronny James. I’d love for him and Bronny James to play 1-on-1. All of my money would be on LiAngelo Ball. LeBron has turned his son into the Make-A-Wish kid and everybody in the media is going to play along.
Someone showed me a picture of how Dalton Knecht, the other Lakers draft pick, and Bronny were dressed at the introductory press conference. Dalton Knecht has a nice pair of slacks on, and a button-up shirt. LeBron’s kid has got on jeans, a hoodie, tennis shoes, and [tinted] glasses. One guy showed up like he had earned the job and another guy showed up like his dad had got him the job. You can just see it in how they present themselves. ‘HEY, MY DAD GOT ME THIS JOB, I CAN JUST SHOW UP HOWEVER I WANT!’ ‘Hey, I earned this job, let me make a good first impression at this press conference. Let me put on a pair of slacks and a dress shirt, look nice and respectable’ ... When you’re the rookie, there is a way you show up to dress when you’re not there because of nepotism and because your dad is the actual boss. You show up like you wanna impress people.
This kid is on third base. His dad has put him in a horrible spot, and the only people who can’t see it are Bron-sexuals, groupies, and people who idolize LeBron James. LeBron should be beating his chest if his son was valedictorian at some prestigious high school and headed off to some great college to be a doctor to cure cancer... But no, ' HE’S TRAVELED THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED! HE’S A BASKETBALL PLAYER AND IT’S SO COURAGEOUS! BRONNY JUST DOESN’T CARE! HE’S DIFFERENT THAN LEBRON!’"
