Sheriff staff given awards during July event

St. Joseph County Undersheriff Jason Bingaman announced several awards that were issued during a summer celebration on July 3.

Employee of the Month awards were given to Deputy Brooke Bingaman, Deputy Veronica Hoggard, Deputy Devantae Jennings, Deputy Kevin Penn, Deputy Jesse Raymond, Deputy Spencer Schrader (who has since been promoted to the rank of sergeant), and Deputy Ethan Warren.

Lifesaving awards were given to Deputy Zach Radtke and White Pigeon Police Officer Matt Hanson.

“The hard work and dedication displayed by those receiving awards today is outstanding,” Bingaman said in a statement. “I know each and every person here who comes to work is committed to keeping our community safe and we appreciate everything they do.”
