Youth at Camp Antioch got an opportunity to learn and have a little fun in the middle of Polk County on Tuesday.

County officials from Polk County Emergency Management, Polk County E-911 and Polk County Fire Rescue joined forces to provide local youth an opportunity to learn about the jobs of first responders and officials when disaster strikes.

The opportunity to provide some safety education and practical fun was found at Camp Antioch as well.

Kids got a lesson fire safety, using 911 and disaster and emergency preparation and safety.

Polk County EMA posted about the morning of fun at Camp Antioch earlier today, and encourage those who want to bring them to an event, reach out to the EMA office by email at ema@polkga.org.
