Queen Camilla recently named a medical detection puppy after her grandson, Freddy Parker Bowles. The long-time supporter of Medical Detection Dogs was invited to give the new canine member a name to celebrate her continuous support. Queen Camilla has been a patron of the United Kingdom-based charity since shortly after it was founded.

The Queen of the U.K. was recently invited to help name the newest member of the Medical Detection Dogs. Queen Camilla named the yellow Labrador Retriever puppy Freddy, which is also the name of her youngest grandchild. The charity shared the news on X — formerly known as Twitter — along with an adorable photo of the pup.

The organization announced the news on Wednesday, July 10, taking to social media to share a cute video of Freddy the puppy. The Queen has supported Medical Detection Dogs for almost a decade now. To celebrate, the charity invited her to name its newest member, who now shares the same name with her grandson, Freddy Parker Bowles.

Medical Detection Dogs train canines to help detect and provide aid to people with medical issues. Freddy, the puppy, recently joined the organization and is getting familiarized with his new surroundings. In the video, the Labrador Retriever puppy can be seen exploring the gardens and relaxing in his new home.

Queen Camilla hosted a reception earlier this year to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Medical Detection Dogs. She got to meet several people who benefited from getting a bio-detection dog . Moreover, at the reception, there was also a demonstration of one of the pups expertly detecting urinary tract infections by sniffing.

According to People , the canine attendees were the stars of the show at the event. They received treats and were also offered chairs to sit on. Furthermore, Queen Camilla enjoyed petting the bio-detection dogs at the reception.
