UPDATE: Man wanted by RCSO for terroristic threats and acts has been arrested

UPDATE: According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s office, Zavier Jones, the man wanted for Terroristic Threats and Acts and Possession of a Firearm During a Crime, has been arrested.

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man wanted for Terroristic Threats and Acts and Possession of a Firearm During a Crime.

According to authorities, Zavier Lanier Jones, 29, (5’11”, 200 pounds) is wanted for an incident that happened on June 20th on the 3200 block of Wrightsboro Road.

According to the incident report, Jones shielded his face and brushed against one of the victims when he entered the Smart Grocery.

The victim states that as Jones was walking away heading towards Church’s Chicken that Jones threatened to shoot him while pulling a handgun from his bag and stating that he “had something for him.”

Another victim then states in the incident report that the first victim was informed that Jones was sending and posting threatening messages towards him and his children saying that Jones was looking at the first victim’s kids now and he would “shoot them in the mouth if he could.”

The second victim says that he was ex was contacted by Jones asking how to get in touch with both victims, and then, the second victim states that he started getting messages from Jones threatening him saying that he would “kill them.”

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says that Jones frequents the 3100 and 3200 blocks of Wrightsboro Road and that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
