The Iowa State Fair's iconic butter cow is making room for some funny friends from the "Tonight Show" in her cooler.

You can meet the butter versions of "Tonight Show" comedians and Iowa natives Johnny Carson and Steve Higgins while seeing the butter cow at the State Fair this year.

Carson hosted the "Tonight Show" from 1962 until 1992. He was born in Corning, Iowa and lived in Avoca and Red Oak before moving to Nebraska.

Higgins has been the announcer for the "Tonight Show" since 2014 and is a Des Moines native. He'll be joined by current host Jimmy Fallon in taking part of the 100-plus year Iowa State Fair tradition of butter sculpting.

Where can I find the butter cow and late night celebrities butter sculptures?

The butter cow and butter versions of Higgins, Carson and Fallon will be featured alongside the iconic sky glider chair.

All of the sculptures will be on display at the John Deere Agriculture Building from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 8 through Aug. 18.

What were 2023's Iowa State Fair butter sculptures?

Last year's sculptures featured a famous athletes theme.

Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark was joined by sculptures of former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner and Iowa State athlete Jack Trice.
