Authorities investigating the disappearance of a 56-year-old Dakota County woman searched the home of the woman's boyfriend on Wednesday, according to the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.

Nicole "Nikki" Anderson hasn't been seen since she left her Randolph Township home on foot around 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Anderson left her phone, wallet, glasses and medication behind and hasn't been heard from since.

The agency issued an endangered missing person alert for Anderson due to concern for her welfare, noting Anderson is 5'10" and weighs around 135 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes.

In a statement Thursday, Dakota County Sheriff Joe Leko said Anderson's family reported Anderson missing Monday afternoon.

"That afternoon, investigators conducted an extensive search of the home, property, and surrounding area on foot and by air, utilizing canines, drones, and helicopters," Leko wrote.

According to Leko, investigators on Wednesday executed a search warrant at the Randolph home of Anderson's boyfriend.

While Leko named Anderson's boyfriend in a press release Thursday, Bring Me The News does not typically name suspects tied to investigations unless criminal charges have been filed.

In a statement, Leko stated the boyfriend "was a person of interest, and the property was one that Ms. Anderson frequented."

According to Leko, deputies searched the home while the boyfriend was not present, but he surrendered to deputies on scene shortly after in connection with an active arrest warrant out of Le Sueur County for a probation violation.

    Anderson was not found.

After his arrest, investigators questioned Anderson's boyfriend on his knowledge of Anderson's disappearance, Leko said. The man is not being held in connection with criminal charges related to Anderson's disappearance at this time.

"We continue our exhaustive efforts to locate Ms. Anderson," Leko concluded. "This remains an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time. Follow our social media for updates."
