Need a break from the heat? Salt Lake County opens ‘cool zones’ through the valley

SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — A heatwave has a grip on the Wasatch Front, threatening to break records with triple-digit temperatures. In these heatwaves, it’s important to stay cool and stay hydrated.

To help, Salt Lake County has set up designated “cool zones” where you can go and get a break from the heat.

Below you will find a list of cool zones throughout Salt Lake County, in alphabetical order by city. Each facility’s code of conduct, user fees, and eligibility restrictions still apply. All cool zones are open for all ages, except those marked by a double asterisk, which are available only to those over 60 years old.
