LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan State Police First District says a 48-year-old corrections officer is in the Jackson County Jail facing charges of smuggling.

The agency says in an X post they arrested the man after an investigation triggered by a tip to the Michigan Department of Corrections. MSP says the man was accused of smuggling narcotics into the Parnall Correctional Facility in Blackman Township.
