Temporary road closures planned in Summers County due to John Henry Days events

TALCOTT, WV (WVNS) — Road closures are planned in Summers County for John Henry Days events.

From 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, Route 3 and 12 in Talcott will be closed due to the John Henry Days Parade.

While the road closure is in place for the John Henry Days Parade, traffic will be able to use Judson Road, Hungards Creek Road, and West Clayton Road between Talcott and Pence Springs as alternate routes.

Another road closure will also occur on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from around 10:00 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. for the John Henry Days Fireworks. The road closure will take place between Judson Road and Huston Road.

Traffic will be stopped until the fireworks show is finished.
