CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – The West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame has announced its inductees for the class of 2024.

The Broadcasting HoF’s induction ceremony is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at the Museum of Radio and Technology in Huntington.

The inductees for this year include:

    • Todd Baucher – news reporter at WTAP Parkersburg for more than 40 years
    • Wayne Boone – broadcast engineer in southern West Virginia
    • Kathy Brown – anchor, reporter and managing editor at WSAZ from 1980-2002
    • Jeff Jenkins – news director at MetroNews radio network for more than 30 years
    • Scott Nolte – sports director at WTRF-TV7 Wheeling since 1996
    • Woody “Woodrow” Woods  – afternoon on-air personality and program director for WRVZ 107.3 The Beat

Tom Resler, Hall of Fame committee chairman, says the inductees are a talented group of individuals from around West Virginia.

“They have demonstrated excellence in the field of broadcasting – in front of the cameras, on the mic or behind the scenes – informing and entertaining the public for many years,” Resler said.

The West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame was created to recognize exceptional broadcasters throughout the Mountain State who have “brought great honor to the state or contributed to its cultural heritage by entertaining, informing or otherwise enhancing the means of broadcasting.”

This year’s ceremony will be broadcast on Facebook Live by WOWK 13 News, and MetroNews network will be providing radio coverage.
