Paul Russell Shares How He Used AI to Produce New Track "Slippin'"

From desk job to viral hits! "Lil Boo Thang" singer Paul Russell is back with a banger. The artist teamed up with Meghan Trainor for new track "Slippin'" and shared during an interview with Ryan Seacrest while it might sound familiar, there's no sample!

In fact, he used his own voice paired with the help of AI to create his own sample.

"A thing that I do a lot of time is I think about what sort of music do I want to listen to," Paul shared. "... It's songs like 'Just a Friend' by Biz Markie or 'Miss Jackson' by OutKast .... those songs just make me want to sing along at 3 am at the top of my lungs ...so part of making this song was like let me try to make a song I myself would love to sing at karaoke."

"What we did was the producer on the song and I sat there and recorded ourselves singing and then used AI to make it sound like a girl so then that was the sample which wasn't a sample at all"
