    1. ALDI

You’ve probably heard of this discount grocery store. It’s widely known for its lower prices and selection of items you may not find at other places.

    2. Trader Joe’s

It’s likely you’ve heard of this very popular grocery store. It’s not only known for good prices, but also for the unique selection of items.

    3. Costco

You’ve probably heard the advice about saving money by buying from warehouse clubs. Costco is among the places to check out for lower prices on items you use a lot and need bigger amounts.

    4. Sam’s Club

Similar to Costco, check out Sam’s Club when you want to buy items in bulk.

    5. BJs

This is a wholesale club based on the East Coast. It makes the U.S. News list of cheapest grocery stores.

    6. WinCo Foods

This store may be a less familiar name than others on the list. With locations in 10 states, it’s a grocery store known for its low prices.

    Other Ways To Save

In addition to changing up stores, there are other ways to save money on your grocery bills.

First, search for sales and reduced prices. This could mean looking in the newspaper and the mail for coupons and keeping an eye out for price reductions as you go through the store. Second, try out generic and store brands. They come with lower prices and sometimes taste slightly better than brand names. Finally, you may want to cut back on processed and prepared foods. As a general rule of thumb, the more time a company saves in preparation, the more you’ll spend.
