    Free Make A Splash community pool party Friday night

    SPOKANE, Wash. - If you're looking for a fun free way to stay cool this weekend, Providence and the Spokane Parks Foundation have you covered.

    The Make A Splash free neighborhood pool party is happening Friday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hillyard Aquatics Center.

    This family-friendly event is open to all ages.

    Providence said it will provide free Kona Ice snow cones and beach towels for all that attend.

    Lifeguards will be on duty to make sure everyone stays safe around the water. Shaded areas will also be available for extra comfort.

    If you can't make the free swim party tonight, there is another one coming up August 2 at the Liberty Aquatics Center.
