Eddie Murphy Marries Paige Butcher, Longtime Partner and Mother to 2 of His Children

Eddie Murphy is a married man!

The Beverly Hills Cop actor has reportedly tied the knot with his longtime partner, Paige Butcher , after being engaged for more than five years.

Murphy and Butcher's nuptials were first reported by People on Friday, July 12. The happy couple said "I do" on Tuesday, July 9, while in Anguilla, according to the magazine.

Murphy, 63, previously dropped hints that he was preparing for his marriage with the Australian actress, 44, after referring to her as his "wife" in a recent interview.

While appearing on The New York Times' The Interview podcast in June, Murphy called Butcher his wife not once, but twice.

Despite only making it legal this week, Murphy and Butcher had been all but officially married for a long time now. The two lovebirds started dating in 2012 after meeting on the set of Big Momma's House 2 six years prior.

Together they share an 8-year-old daughter, Izzy Oona , and a 5-year-old son, Max Charles , born just months after the pair became engaged in 2018.

In addition to his two children with Butcher, Murphy has eight older kids , including the five he shares with ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell . Before their divorce in 2006, Mitchell and Murphy welcomed daughters Bria , 34, Shayne , 29, Zola , 24, and Bella , 22, and son Myles , 31.

Murphy also shares a son, Eric , 35, with his ex, Paulette McNeely , and a 33-year-old son, Christian , with his former girlfriend, Tamara Hood . Additionally, the Shrek star is a father to a 17-year-old daughter, Angel , whom he shares with Spice Girl Melanie "Mel B" Brown .
