MADERA COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A Madera County man has been arrested and over 160 firearms were seized after a multi-agency operation led to several warrants served in the Central Valley, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Thursday, deputies say they along with other law enforcement agencies including the Madera Police Special Investigations Unit and the Visalia and Delano Police Departments executed four search warrants related to a multi-agency operation into the illegal sales of narcotics, firearms, and the illegal possession of firearms.

Sheriff’s officials say two locations in Madera County, one in Chowchilla and another one in Delano were searched. During the search, around 163 firearms were seized, as well as methamphetamine and processed marijuana packaged for sale from the four locations.

As a result, officials say 47-year-old Miguel Reyes of Madera County was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges including child endangerment and various weapon violations.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Madera Narcotic Enforcement Team or call the anonymous tip line at 559-675-7776. Tips may also be emailed to MCSOTip@maderacountycom.
