New York Jets running back Breece Hall has been one of the most electric running backs in the NFL in recent seasons. Since being selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, he has quickly proven to be one of the best at his position in the league.

He has had his fair share of adversity to go up against as well. During his rookie season, he tore his ACL and meniscus in the seventh game of his career, cutting his season short.

He was able to rehab and get healthy enough to play in Week 1 the following season. But, the New York Jets were looking to ease him into things, splitting time with Dalvin Cook to start the campaign.

It quickly became evident that Breece Hall was ready for a larger workload. He became the featured back by Week 5, handling early down work and passing situations.

As shared by analytics guru Warren Sharp , the New York Jets haven’t given him much of a supporting cast to work with either. In the two seasons he has been on the team, the offensive line has been abysmal.

With no semblance of a passing game, teams have stacked the box against Breece Hall through two seasons. Despite that, he is near the top in several running back statistics, including total yards, per game net yardage ranks and rate of 15+ and 20+ yard runs.

The Iowa State product is dominant but is only scratching the surface of his potential. He put the NFL on notice with a post he made on X, formerly known as Twitter, responding to Sharp.

Heading into Year 3, New York Jets fans have to be excited about what is on tap. With no restrictions and an entire offseason to work on his craft, big things could be on the horizon.

The supporting cast the team has put around him is vastly improved as well. Aaron Rodgers is healthy and ready to step back into the starting lineup. Should something happen to him again, the New York Jets have upgraded their quarterback depth, signing veteran Tyrod Taylor.

Taylor is a huge upgrade over Zach Wilson, Trevor Siemian and Tim Boyle, the trio who replaced Rodgers last season. None of them are starting-caliber quarterbacks in the NFL, but that didn’t stop Breece Hall from producing.

Last season, Breece Hall carried the ball 223 times for 997 yards and five touchdowns. He was excellent as a pass-catcher, hauling in 76 receptions for 591 yards and four more scores.
