The prices of several Liverpool stars on Fantasy Football ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign have been revealed. Players can now assess the possibility of selecting Mohamed Salah, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo , Trent Alexander-Arnold , Darwin Nunez or Virgil Van Dijk after learning how much the players will cost.

While Arne Slot is currently working hard behind the scenes in preparation for the first game of the season, many Fantasy Football managers will also be doing the same as they plan which formations, key players and shock selections they'll be making ahead of August 17.

Salah, who is one of the most selected players in the game, will cost around £12.5m but is not the most expensive player in the game, with Manchester City's Erling Haaland coming in at £15m. Meanwhile, other attackers in the form of Gakpo and Nunez are less expensive at £7.5m.

Elsewhere, the Reds supporters could also opt for Van Dijk (£6m), Mac Allister (£6.5m) or Alexander-Arnold (£7m) - but supporters will be limited to just three players from Liverpool so will be forced to make some tough decisions come the first game of the season against newly promoted Ipswich Town.

The official Fantasy Football Scou t has since analyzed the potential some key Liverpool players have, with Alexander-Arnold raising a particular amount of interest given his lowered price tag. "Alexander-Arnold drops £1.0m from last season after delivering 122 points," the Scout said.

"The lowest total of his Fantasy career since he secured a regular role for Liverpool in 2018/19. Notably, the England star also remains listed as a defender in Fantasy due to uncertainty over his position under the Reds’ new head coach Arne Slot.

"Despite his disappointing 2023/24 campaign, Alexander-Arnold’s 64 key passes and 18 big chances created were bettered only by Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) among team-mates. Both those totals, as well as his 47 shots, ranked among the top three defenders last term.

"If he’s moved out of defence and handed a more advanced berth by Slot, Alexander-Arnold could recapture the type of form that helped him break the 200-point barrier in both 2019/20 and 2021/22."

The Scout also analysed the possible selection of Mac Allister in midfield, where he added: "Mac Allister’s improved output in the final months of his debut 2023/24 campaign for Liverpool suggests he could offer a great value this time around. The Argentinian scored four of his five goals for the season, and supplied four of his five assists, from Gameweek 25 onwards.

"While the versatile midfielder could operate in a deep-lying role in front of the Reds’ back four, a potential move to a No 10 role for Arne Slot would elevate his prospects significantly."

Liverpool.com says: Some may consider the inclusion of Liverpool players under Slot as a risk, although given the progress made in 2023/24 and the squad he will have to work with and the prospect of facing Ipswich in the first game, players could benefit from giving the likes of Salah and Alexander-Arnold the nod for the opening weekend of the season.
